C+D Webinar: Cholera Risk in Today’s Traveller

Look beyond outbreak settings and assess cholera risk across more travel scenarios.

Cholera vaccination is often associated with humanitarian aid workers and travellers visiting areas experiencing cholera outbreaks who have limited access to safe water and medical care. However, a broader range of travellers may encounter cholera risk through occupation, activities or underlying health problems.¹

This webinar will provide practical education to help Healthcare Professionals confidently identify cholera risk factors and support conversations within travel health consultations.

This webinar explores:

  • What cholera is, including its symptoms, disease burden, incidence and diagnostic challenges

  • Traveller profiles, activities and behaviours that may increase potential exposure

  • How food, water and common travel experiences can influence cholera risk

  • Practical measures travellers can take to help reduce the likelihood of infection

  • Opportunities to include cholera within a comprehensive travel health assessment

  • How to challenge the perception that cholera vaccination is only relevant in humanitarian or outbreak settings

  • Approaches to supporting informed and individualised prevention discussions
