IXIARO® DOSING SCHEDULE
The primary vaccination series consists of two separate doses of IXIARO®.
Children from 2 months to <3 years receive 2 x 0.25 ml doses1
Children >3 years of age and adults receive 2 x 0.5 ml doses1
The conventional schedule for IXIARO® administration is two doses, 28 days apart.1
The rapid schedule reduces this to two doses, seven days apart.1
Rapid schedule is only available to adults aged 18-65 years1
With both schedules, primary vaccination should be completed at least one week before potential exposure to the JE virus.1
BOOSTER DOSE OFFERS LONG-TERM PROTECTION
A booster dose administered approximately 12–24 months after primary immunisation is estimated to grant travellers a further decade of protection.1
CO-ADMINISTRATION WITH OTHER VACCINES
IXIARO® can be administered concomitantly with other travel vaccines such as Hepatitis A or Rabies.1
